Why torchwhite.png

Since the discovery of fire, humans have used the torch to create safety in the darkness.

In ancient Greece, passing a torch became symbolic of giving responsibilities and knowledge to the next person who would take charge.

Since 1886, a torch has stood in the New York Harbor, standing tall as a symbol of liberty for our nation.

In 1936 a torch was used to carry the Olympic flame from the grounds of ancient Olympia in Greece. Since then it has been the symbol of unity to start the Olympic Games.

In today’s world, our smartphones are our torches, guiding us to safety by providing light and security, as well as the means to pass information to those who can take action.

Our Torch app is not a new concept. It’s as old as history itself: people using their light to make the world a safer place.

The Tools To Make A Difference

Very few crimes and tragedies happen without warning. But it’s often too hard to say something before anything bad has happened. 911 isn’t equipped for non-emergency calls. And it’s often too risky to get involved at all, making yourself a target.

As a nation, we all see the value in the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign. But to whom, and how do we say something? With Torch, that power is now in the palm of your hand.

Anywhere we go, the Torch App anonymously connects us to law enforcement, city officials and school administrators. Sharing what we see with the people who have the power to take action is simple and only takes a second.

Sending an anonymous text, photo or video can protect your community and prevent a tragedy from ever happening. Making your world a better place has never been easier.
